Lucky for you, this is my shortest book yet.

My goal was to cut down my word count to help the pacing of this book. I ended up cutting 20,000 words from my average word count for the series!!

Obviously, I was a little worried that this drastic cut would lead to a poor story...

But my editor thought the pacing was great!

She also loved the maturity I added to Lucy's personality, saying she appreciated how our heroine's voice changed in this book.

My editor called the new-and-improved Lucy "more in control with a bit more sass and a clip to her step."

Sound like a fun change?
